Who Will Win?

Of course, the one wager of interest for the casual sports bettor is to try and pick the winning team.

Most betting operators are favoring the Rams. DraftKings Sportsbook has the Bengals as 4.0-point underdog with a +170 money line and -200 for the Bengals. On BetMGM Sportsbook, the Bengals are a 4.5-point underdog with a +165 money line.

Most other competitors agree with the 4,0-point underdog odds such as SugarHouse Sportsbook (-195 Rams, +168 Bengals), PointsBet Sportsbook (-200 Rams, +165 Bengals) and Twin Spires Sportsbook (-200 Rams, +165 Bengals). The over/under for points total has been set for 48.5 across all operators.

Of course, there are plenty of other overall stats such as the win margin, points for each team, whichever team scores first, and what the first scoring play will be. Odds that the first scoring play will be a touchdown has -200 odds on BetMGM, while a field goal has +165 odds, and a safety has +3,000 odds.

As far as the MVP for the game is concerned, the two quarterbacks lead the pack with Matthew Stafford at +100 odds ahead of Joe Burrow at +225, according to DraftKings. Twin Spires has Stafford at +130 and Burrow at +230. On SugarHouse, either of them to rush for a touchdown is listed as +220.

It comes as no surprise that Cooper Kupp, Joe Mixon, Ja’Marr Chase, Cam Akers, or Odell Beckham Jr. are the most likely candidates to claim the title if the game goes their way. As an anytime touchdown scorer, Kupp leads the pack with -150 on PointsBet while Mixon (-121) and Akers (-105) follow right behind. PointsBet has Kupp as the first touchdown scorer available at +475 with Akers (+600) and Mixon (+650) as the next most likely candidates.

Those who look out for defensive plays can bet on both Aaron Donald and Von Miller to each record a sack at +140 on SugarHouse. If you fancy either of them as MVP, Donald (+1,600) and Miller (+4,500) are ready to get into your bet slip on DraftKings. A defensive lineman as the MVP award winner on Twin Spires comes with +1,100 while a kicker/punter/long snapper is up to +4,000.

Some Unusual Wagers

A “will there be an octopus” wager on DraftKings may sound odd at first glance with +1,400 for yes and -2,500 for no. It refers to the same player scoring a touchdown and the ensuing two-point conversion that follows. Only six players have done so during the current season, just to give an idea of how often an octopus happens.

Game props on PointsBet include a successful fourth-down conversion (yes -400, no +280). The Aussie bookmaker, now up and running in ten US states — including yesterday’s launch in Pennsylvania just in time for the big game — also offers odds for a successful two-point conversion (yes +250, no -575).

Twin Rivers has cooked up some special offers. The one that stands out the most is whether or not the match ends with a scorigamia scoring combination that has never happened before in NFL history. More than 1,000 unique scores have appeared in the history of the NFL and the 2021 season added another six to the tally.

Odds there will be a scorigami are +1,400 for yes and -5,000 for no.

Another unusual wager is connected to the end of the game. Should the winning coach receive a Gatorade bath, odds that the liquid is clear has +250 odds while purple is dead last at +1,400. No Gatorade bath is at +600 odds. Green-colored Gatorade hasn’t been in the mix since Super Bowl XXI but comes as a combo with yellow at +350 odds.

There are a ton of other fun and interesting prop bets available for all kinds of offensive and defensive plays, giving something to wager on for pretty much every kind of sports enthusiast. February 13 is shaping up to be a night to remember for Bengals and Rams fans as well as for bookmakers.
