Americas Cardroom is preparing the Dual Mystery Bounty Venoms, a two-event series with $15 million in combined guarantees running from August 13 through September 2. The package is also being tied to the site’s 25th anniversary, according to GamblingNews.
According to a company release via PR Newswire, the two tournaments are the largest pair of Venom events in the company’s history. The lineup splits the guarantees into a $12 million No-Limit Hold’em Venom and a $3 million Pot-Limit Omaha Venom.
Each event carries a $2,650 buy-in and eight Day 1 flights, which the company describes as more starting opportunities than any previous Venom. The opening flight begins on Thursday, August 13.
The mystery bounty format becomes active on Day 2. Players who make that stage will already have secured a cash finish before the bounty portion begins, and every elimination from that point on earns a mystery bounty.
The top bounty in the No-Limit Hold’em event is $500,000, while the PLO event’s top bounty is $250,000. Both tournaments guarantee a minimum mystery bounty of $5,000.
Players can enter multiple Day 1 flights and combine qualifying stacks for Day 2. The additional starting flights run through Sunday, August 30, with Day 2 set for Monday, August 31.
Americas Cardroom is also running Venom Fever, a promotion that will award more than 1,500 guaranteed seats. The qualification paths include Direct Satellites, Mega Satellites, Beast tournaments and Survivor Flips, and they begin at $0.
From Monday, August 17, the schedule expands with Venom Specials, which add more than $10 million in added-value guarantees through the rest of the series. The No-Limit Hold’em event moves on to Day 3 on Tuesday, September 1, and both final tables are set for Wednesday, September 2, while the PLO event ends that same day without a Day 3.
