ACR Poker has opened Venom Fever, a qualification campaign offering 587 guaranteed seats in its October Dual Venom PKO tournaments. The promotion runs from Sept. 29 through Oct. 18 and feeds the $5 million No-Limit Hold’em event and the $1.5 million Pot-Limit Omaha event, each with a direct buy-in of $2,650.

The seat guarantee is split between 470 entries for the NLH Venom PKO and 117 for the PLO counterpart. The PLO guarantee matches ACR Poker’s largest guaranteed PKO prize pool for the game.

Americas Cardroom said in its Oct. 1 announcement that Mega Satellites account for 240 seats, comprising 210 NLH and 30 PLO entries. Direct Satellites provide the other 347 seats, including 260 for NLH and 87 for PLO.

The qualification menu includes freeroll ladders, feeder tournaments, Direct Satellites, Mega Satellites and Survivor Flips. One NLH route available through Oct. 4 progresses from a freeroll to a $10.50 Super Satellite and a $109 Mega, while another moves through $3.15 and $31.50 qualifiers to a $290 Mega. The PLO path runs from a freeroll to a $33 Super Satellite and then a $290 PLO Mega.

Survivor Flips begin at 80 cents and can lead to a $2,650 ticket. Further feeder options are scheduled across the Oct. 5-11 and Oct. 12-18 windows, including Saturday freeroll routes on Oct. 10 and Oct. 17. On Oct. 18, freerolls feed a $3.15 Super Satellite and a five-seat $33 NLH Mega.

Both championship events have Day 1 flights at 1:05 p.m. ET on Oct. 4, 8, 11, 15 and 18, followed by Day 2 on Oct. 19. The NLH tournament continues to Day 3 on Oct. 20, while the PLO field moves directly from Day 2 to its final table; both final tables begin at 4:05 p.m. ET on Oct. 21. Players reaching Day 2 may play a later Day 1 and combine any additional qualifying stack with the original stack.

The campaign follows ACR Poker’s July Venom Fever promotion for its Dual Mystery Bounty Venoms, as we reported. In the previous Dual Venom PKOs, the two events generated nearly $7.85 million in combined final prize pools, above their combined guarantees, according to ACR Poker.

The previous NLH tournament drew 2,498 entries and produced a $6.245 million prize pool, with winner Rigapols81 taking more than $675,000 in prize money and bounties. The PLO event attracted 641 entries for a $1.6025 million prize pool; PohPohPohPAAAA won a combined $252,888 in prize money and bounties.
