Nevada sports betting handle totaled $545.7 million in May, down 5.4% year over year. Online and retail sportsbooks generated $38.7 million in revenue, a 17.2% decrease, while the statewide hold was 7.1% and dipped more than a point versus the prior May.
Online wagering accounted for 75.1% of total handle and was down 3.1% in May. Mobile sportsbooks made $34 million in revenue.
Regional results also weakened. Clark County saw a larger 15.8% year-over-year revenue decline, while Washoe County operators recorded a 32.5% drop in profits compared with May 2025.

Baseball brought in $12.6 million, down 41% from last May’s record total, and “Other” sports delivered $13.7 million in operator revenue, a 28.6% year-over-year increase that included tennis, soccer, MMA, boxing, auto racing, and golf.
Football remained a drag for operators, with a $2.2 million loss in May and more than $17 million in losses over the past three months. The state also collected $2.6 million in tax revenue in May, bringing year-to-date tax revenue to past $15 million.
