In addition to iRPs, poker players also earn Tier Credits. While these cannot be used in the online store to buy perks and bonuses, they count towards your tier level. Everyone starts at the Sapphire level and then progresses by accumulating Tier Credits.
In the new MGM Rewards scheme, the number of credits required to achieve the Pearl level (which is the second lowest tier) has been reduced to 20,000. Each new tier level comes with certain perks, such as comps, bonuses, free accommodation, and more.
