The 2022 WSOP saw nearly 200k entrants and $347 million in distributed prize money, a record in the 52-year history of the series. The eventual winner of the Main Event, Espen Jørstad from Norway, claimed the title and took home $10 million, along with his second bracelet of the year.

Here’s what we know so far about next year’s series.

WSOP 2023 Will Run from late May to mid-July

According to officials, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2023 tournament will be held from May 30 to July 18. The tournament will take place at Paris Las Vegas on the Strip and Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, which will soon be rebranded as Horseshoe Las Vegas. The tournament will culminate in the Main Event, which will have a buy-in of $10,000.

Officials have also announced the dates for a dozen WSOP 2023 live events, including two new tournaments: Gladiators of Poker and Ultra Stack. Gladiators of Poker will have a buy-in of $300, making it the cheapest live bracelet event ever. Ultra Stack, on the other hand, will have a buy-in of $600.

But there are bound to be many more surprises in the full schedule, which is expected to be released in January or February 2023 and will probably feature around 90 events, similar to the 2022 series.

Mystery Bounty Tournament to be Held at WSOP 2023

The Mystery Bounty tournament, billed as Mystery Millions, will be held at WSOP 2023. The event will have a buy-in of $1000 and feature bounties ranging from $10,000 to $1 million. The winner is guaranteed to take home $1 million in addition to the bounties. The tournament will begin to begin on May 31.

In the 2022 edition, the Mystery Bounty tournament attracted 14,112 runners, creating a prize pool of $12.5 million. The tournament is expected to be a popular event at WSOP 2023, as it often pulls in one of the biggest crowds during the opening weekend.

Main Event and Mini Main Event Confirmed

The Main Event at WSOP 2023 will begin on July 3 and will likely feature four starting flights. The buy-in for the Main Event will be $10,000. In the 2022 edition, the Main Event was won by Espen Jørstad from Norway, who claimed the title and took home $10 million, along with his second bracelet of the year.

Besides the Main Event, WSOP 2023 will also feature a Mini Main Event with a buy-in of $1000. The Mini Main Event is a smaller version of the Main, with a reduced buy-in and prize pool. The tournament is open to all players and allows those with a smaller bankroll to compete for a WSOP bracelet.

Gladiators of Poker: The Cheapest Live Bracelet Event Ever at WSOP 2023

One of the new events at WSOP 2023 is the Gladiators of Poker tournament, which will have a buy-in of $300. This makes it the cheapest live bracelet event in history, offering players the opportunity to compete for a WSOP bracelet at a relatively low cost. The tournament will run from June 7 and will boast a total guaranteed prize pool of $3 million.

The Gladiators of Poker tournament is expected to attract many players, as it offers a unique opportunity to compete for a WSOP bracelet at a relatively low buy-in. For more information about the tournament and the full WSOP 2023 schedule, visit the WSOP website.

Ultra Stack: Few Details on the Other New Addition

WSOP 2023 will feature a new event called Ultra Stack, which will take place on July 11 with an entry fee of $600. This event allows players to compete for a WSOP bracelet at a slightly higher buy-in than the Gladiators of Poker tournament.

The full details of the tournament, including the prize pool and format, have not yet been announced, but given the title, it will probably be a super-sized deep stack tournament, allowing lots of big deep-stacked play early in the tournament. For those comfortable with this format, it should offer a lot of play for the buy-in.
