For the fifth time in the last six months, US online casino revenue surpassed $1 billion in May, according to Sports Betting Dime.

In that same month, the seven iGaming states produced $1.03 billion in US online casino revenue.

Sports Betting Dime said the May total was up 14.7% versus May 2025. The figure also rose 2.4% compared with April.

The $1 billion milestone first appeared in December, the outlet reported. Sports Betting Dime added that February was the lone month during the span that did not hit the mark.

Sports Betting Dime said year-over-year growth started to slow compared with the end of 2025. It also said May was the second consecutive month with year-over-year revenue growth under $132 million.

By state, Sports Betting Dime reported that six of the seven legal online casino markets saw year-over-year revenue increases of at least 10%. Connecticut was the only state that did not reach that threshold, with a 4.3% increase.

Sports Betting Dime said Michigan had stayed above 20% year-over-year growth throughout 2026. It attributed the high growth rates to the addition of Hard Rock Casino and bet365 Casino in the state over the last six months, adding that the new venues helped Michigan close the gap on Pennsylvania.

Sports Betting Dime said Pennsylvania and New Jersey had been hovering around 10% to 15% year-over-year growth in recent months. The outlet also said US iGaming revenue sat at $5.04 billion for 2026 through five months.

Sports Betting Dime said the country was on pace to surpass $12 billion in revenue for the year.
