Sports Betting Dime said U.S. online casino revenue reached $1.03 billion in May, the fifth time in the last six months that the seven legal iGaming states cleared $1 billion. The total first crossed that mark in December.
The May figure was up 14.7% from a year earlier and 2.4% from April. Six of the seven states posted year-over-year gains of at least 10%, while Connecticut was the only state below that level at 4.3%.
The pace was still strong, but the year-over-year gains were beginning to cool from the end of 2025. Through the first five months of 2026, U.S. iGaming revenue reached $5.04 billion, a pace that would put the market above $12 billion for the year.
Michigan remained the outlier. PlayMichigan reported May online casino revenue of $305.8 million, up 0.8% from April and 21.6% from May 2025, and Sports Betting Dime said the state continued to post larger jumps than Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
June’s state reports will be the next check on the market’s monthly pace.
