Pennsylvania’s online gambling and sports betting businesses generated about $3.6 billion in fiscal 2025/26, or 51.3% of regulated gaming revenue, overtaking the state’s retail slot machines and table games for the first time. The shift came alongside another record year for the Commonwealth’s gambling industry, which produced $7.01 billion in total gaming revenue and returned $3.1 billion in taxes and fees.

According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, combined gross revenue from casino slots, table games, iGaming, sports wagering, video gaming terminals and fantasy contests reached $7,005,987,435, an all-time fiscal-year high. iGaming led the growth, rising 18.42% to $2,933,453,989, while sports wagering climbed 35.95% to $662,947,631.

By contrast, the legacy casino floors were largely flat or weaker. Retail slot revenue rose just 0.02% to $2,440,995,939, while table games fell 2.15% to $908,941,135. Together, slots and table games produced $3.35 billion, below the roughly $3.6 billion from iGaming and sports betting combined.

The board’s figures also show how concentrated the online casino market remains. Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course led iGaming with $1.13 billion in revenue, followed by Valley Forge Casino Resort at $811.8 million and Rivers Casino Philadelphia at $464.3 million.

Several operators posted sharp gains, including Harrah’s Philadelphia, which rose 40.3%, Mohegan Pennsylvania, which increased 51.2%, and Presque Isle Downs, which doubled with a 124% rise. Others lost ground, including Live! Casino Philadelphia’s PlayLive! operation, down 52.5%, and Mount Airy Casino Resort, down 47.5%.

Sports betting also continued to expand even as the amount wagered slipped. Handle fell from $8.72 billion to $8.45 billion, but revenue still rose to $662.9 million, with Valley Forge again the largest sportsbook at $272.6 million, ahead of Hollywood Casino at the Meadows on $189.9 million. Hollywood Casino York, which partners with ESPN and theScoreBet, posted a 287.6% increase.

The board described its tax and fee return to Pennsylvania as a record $3,098,193,583, including $110 million in slot machine license operation fees for local share accounts. Its press release said those funds go to school property tax reduction, state, county and local projects, horse racing support, municipal and county grants, and the Commonwealth’s General Fund.
