FanDuel Casino is embracing live dealer games in style.
The Flutter brand announced on Monday that it had opened the first-ever FanDuel-branded live dealer studios in Michigan and Pennsylvania in partnership with Evolution Gaming. The Michigan studio is located in Southfield, a suburb of Detroit, while the Pennsylvania studio is in Philadelphia.
“A dedicated live dealer studio offers FanDuel the ability to offer players exclusive promotions,” the operator said. “With the addition of live updates with dynamic stats, the FanDuel Live Dealer Games will be attractive to both experienced and novice players.”

FanDuel added that its user interface for the live dealer games “will guide players in what bets they can place and even show potential winnings for their bets. Playing FanDuel Live Dealer Games is a great opportunity to learn the game in a more controlled environment. FanDuel Casino MI operates under the land-based casino license of MotorCity Casino, while FanDuel Casino PA is on the Valley Forge Casino Resort license.

FanDuel renewed its partnership with Evolution for live dealer games in February. Under the renewal, Evolution became FanDuel’s exclusive provider of live dealer games in the US. The original agreement was signed in 2020.
Live Dealers Games Are Everywhere Now
FanDuel’s foray into live dealer games illustrates their growing popularity.
So far this year, operators in five of the six US states with regulated online casino gaming — Connecticut, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia — have launched live dealer games. (Live dealer games are illegal in Delaware). Ontario also has them now. In many cases, operators have been opening their own private branded studios.
Live dealer games are an excellent opportunity for online operators to cross-sell their products. Executives at FanDuel and elsewhere routinely discuss their cross-marketing plans to get online casino and online poker players involved with online sports betting — and vice versa.

Previous Launches in MI and PA
FanDuel’s new digs in Michigan come one year after it started offering live dealer games through Evolution’s studio in Southfield — just not with the FanDuel branding emblazoned everywhere.
Evolution opened its Southfield studio in July 2021. At the time, nine operators — Barstool, BetMGM, BetRivers, DraftKings, FanDuel, Golden Nugget, PokerStars’ Stars Casino, TwinSpires, and William Hill (now Caesars Casino) — had formed partnerships with Evolution. A tenth operator, WynnBET, joined the group later.
BetMGM Casino MI opened its own private studio with Evolution in June. Also that month, Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort announced a separate launch of live dealer games with Evolution through its Southfield studio.
Meanwhile, in Pennsylvania, BetRivers Casino PA began offering live dealer games through its own branded studio in Philadelphia in September 2021. BetMGM Casino PA launched live dealer versions of roulette and Philadelphia 76ers branded blackjack in February 2022. Evolution powers all of the games.
