bet365 has launched The Matchup, a weekly NFL video and audio podcast hosted by former Super Bowl champions Chris Harris Jr. and Emmanuel Sanders. The series premiered Sept. 10, with episodes built around major NFL matchups, league news and player-led analysis intended to look beyond the box score.
Harris and Sanders had announced the programme through their X accounts on Sept. 3, according to Last Word On NFL. The outlet described bet365 as the podcast’s sponsor and said its central focus would be wide receiver-defensive back matchups, while allowing for discussion of other positions.
The pair bring a shared Broncos history to the show. They were Denver teammates from 2014 to 2019, a period in which Harris made four Pro Bowls and Sanders earned his two career Pro Bowl selections. Broncos Wire said the first episode was released on Thursday, and described it as a weekly preview of the league’s leading receiver-cornerback contests.
Guests from across the game are to join the hosts each week. Harris said football discussion begins with identifying “who has the edge, what everyone is overlooking and what could change the game.” Sanders said their aim was to bring a player’s perspective to conversations about the teams, players and storylines that matter to fans.
Last Row Digital Media is producing the show. Full episodes are available through YouTube, Apple Podcasts and Spotify, as well as other podcast services, while clips and supplementary material are being distributed on YouTube, X, Instagram, Facebook, Threads and TikTok.
The launch forms part of bet365’s stated effort to engage U.S. football audiences beyond individual wagers. Trip Stoddard said football was central to how American sports bettors engage, and that the company wanted to offer credible insight, entertaining conversation and a sharper perspective on the game.
bet365 said the programme was an intentional investment in football as it seeks to become a destination for U.S. bettors throughout the season. It follows the company’s “Winning Is Everything” campaign, which promoted Early Payout, Early Bird Special and Early Cashout, and comes amid its stated North American growth in West Virginia, Washington, D.C., Michigan and Alberta.
