New Jersey Online Casino Market Reaches 30 Platforms

Reports differ on which three brands pushed the regulated market to the milestone
New Jersey Online Casino Market Reaches 30 Platforms

New Jersey’s regulated online casino market has reached 30 active platforms after three new brands went live. The total was consistent across reports, but the three names were not: SiGMA identified Bally Bet Casino, Caesars Palace Online Casino and Horseshoe Online Casino, while Covers and Deadspin pointed to Vegas Club Casino, Ember Casino and Betinia Casino.

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement said three new internet casinos were added between June and this week, bringing the licensed roster to 30. Under the state’s rules, legal online casino operations must be tied to licensed Atlantic City casinos, and each licensee can run up to five internet casino operations, or skins.

The structure dates back to early 2013, when the enabling statute gave Atlantic City casino licensees the exclusive right to operate online casinos. The DGE’s presentation said the land-based casinos needed contractual arrangements with experienced online operators and game providers to get started, and with nine land-based casinos the theoretical ceiling is 45 skins.

A year earlier, 28 of those 45 possible skins were operational, underscoring how the market has kept filling out. New Jersey’s regulated online casino system is now part of a wider ecosystem that includes brands linked to some of the largest domestic and international gaming companies.

The launches came against continued growth in online gambling revenue. June internet gaming revenue was $271 million, up 17.5% from $230.7 million a year earlier, and year-to-date revenue reached $1.59 billion, up 15%.

Broader figures were also strong, though not uniformly so. Total gaming revenue for casinos, racetracks and partners reached $585.6 million in June, up 0.7%, while statewide gaming revenue for the first six months of 2026 was $3.32 billion, up 6%. Total gaming taxes through June were $500.5 million.

Atlantic City’s nine casino hotels brought in $257.3 million in casino win in June, down 0.7% from a year earlier but still the second-best June total in 14 years. Sports wagering revenue fell 37.7% to $57.3 million even as betting handle rose 16% to $917.2 million, with regulators attributing the drop to patron winnings tied to the NBA Finals and the World Cup.

Competition has intensified as operators use exclusive game portfolios, loyalty programmes, cross-platform integrations and sportsbook offerings to stand out. New Jersey continues to attract investment from operators seeking market share through differentiated products, promotions and gaming content.
