Delaware North launched Ember Casino in New Jersey on June 4, 2026, beginning what it described as the first phase of a broader rebrand of its online gaming business under a single unified identity. The company said the New Jersey launch marks the transition of its existing digital gaming operations from the Betly brand to Ember.
Delaware North said New Jersey is the launchpad for Ember’s rollout strategy, with additional brand integrations and market expansions planned throughout the year as Ember becomes the unified identity for its gaming portfolio. In remarks tied to the launch, Jason Gregorec, president of gaming for Delaware North, said, “Ember represents the next chapter for our gaming business.” (Delaware North)
The company said it is building a connected platform that integrates its digital and brick-and-mortar expertise to create a seamless player experience and support long-term growth in regulated markets. Delaware North said the Ember platform is powered by Playtech and includes responsible gaming solutions featuring BetBuddy.
As part of the launch, Ember introduced a “Play to Earn” promotion aimed at rewarding early engagement. Delaware North said players who register and participate could earn entries for a chance to win a Toyota GR86, a Ford Mustang, or a Ford Bronco.
Delaware North said the Playtech-powered experience includes slots and live dealer games, supported by high-quality streaming and real-time gameplay. It also said it has expanded relationships with online gaming content providers including IGT, White Hat Studios, and Light & Wonder for Ember’s New Jersey launch and future markets.
The company added that Vegas Kings is involved in platform design and that AquireBet supports user acquisition and experience optimization. Lee Terfloth, chief interactive gaming officer for Delaware North, said, “These partnerships are fueling our expansion in the digital gaming space with the same level of precision, personalization and innovation our players have come to expect.” (Delaware North)
Delaware North tied the launch to the size of the New Jersey online market, saying 2025 online casinos generated nearly $2.9 billion in gross gaming revenue. For additional context, the American Gaming Association reported that New Jersey online casinos recorded $2.91 billion in iGaming revenue in 2025, up 22.0% compared to 2024. New Jersey’s internet and mobile gaming rules require that internet or mobile gaming be engaged in only by patrons who have established an internet or mobile gaming account, and they require a prominent message: “If you or someone you know has a gambling problem and wants help, call 1-800-Gambler.” The regulations also state that mobile gaming shall only occur within the property boundaries of an approved casino hotel facility. Delaware North described its broader gaming portfolio as spanning seven states and Australia, citing properties such as the Southland Casino Hotel in Arkansas and a consulting role for the Catawba Nation’s $1 billion casino resort project in North Carolina. More Ember integrations and market expansions are planned throughout the year as Ember becomes the unified identity for Delaware North’s gaming portfolio. (Delaware North)
