Authentic Gaming, a premium supplier of growingly popular live-streamed casino games, is making its US online casino debut this October. The company has received all necessary approvals from the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB), allowing it to partner up with licensed operators in the state and offer its products via their gaming platforms.
So far, two live studios have been catering to Michigan online casino players (and in the US as a whole) — the industry giant Evolution Gaming and Playtech. Authentic Gaming will now join this exclusive group, and it is safe to assume that the company has its eyes set beyond one state.
Playtech and Evolution received their licenses in 2021, and things have been somewhat dormant in the virtual live dealer department since. Authentic Gaming will be looking to shake things up a bit with its wide range of modern games.
Initial Launch With BetRivers and Golden Nugget
Authentic Gaming was approved by the state’s regulator on October 5 and allowed to launch its products in the market with no further delays. To kick things off, the company has partnered up with BetMGM Casino MI and Golden Nugget, two of the biggest US online casinos.
In the PR announcing the news, Henry Williams, the Executive Director for the MGCB, said,
“Live dealer online casino table games offer an immersive and engaging gambling experience that combines the convenience of online gaming with the authenticity of the environment in a land-based casino. Players can enjoy the excitement of playing their favorite casino games with real dealers in real-time, all from the comfort of their home or wherever they may be.”
Authentic Gaming received its license after going through the necessary steps to demonstrate it meets all the guidelines set forth by the regulator. This included the onsite visit by the MGCB to the company’s live-streaming studio located in Farmington Hills.

The Future of Online Gaming
Live dealer games have become increasingly popular in recent years, with their share in the overall profits of US online casinos constantly growing. In Pennsylvania, the revenue from live dealer games in the fiscal year 2022/23 was $214.3 million, accounting for 14% of the overall igaming revenue in the state.
The online live dealer provider operating in Pennsylvania at this time is Evolution Gaming, catering to 19 individual online casinos in the state.
These numbers clearly show that US online casino players enjoy live dealer games, which makes providers eager to try and enter the market.
Like online casinos, game providers must acquire licenses in each state they want to operate in, making the process longer and more demanding. Having received the approval in Michigan, Authentic Gaming will likely look towards other regulated US states, but it is hard to speculate what is the next market they will enter or when this might happen.
As for Michigan, players can look forward to the rollout of a fresh batch of live dealer games in the coming days as there are no further obstacles in the way, and both Authentic Games and its online casino partners in the state will be eager to put these new games to the test.
