We’re thrilled to announce our largest series guarantee ever to players in the US. PokerStars announced Tuesday that its Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) would return to the US this month, with 252 events planned and $5 million guaranteed — the largest prize pool in the history of the series.

The operator will run two separate series for SCOOP. The first will be for players in Michigan and New Jersey, while a second series will be available for players in Pennsylvania. PokerStars combined its Michigan and New Jersey player pools on January 1.

Many similarities exist between both PokerStars US SCOOP series. They both kick off on March 17 and continue through April 3. There will be 126 events in both series, with the lowest buy-in set at $10 and the highest at $2,500.

But players on PokerStars MI and their counterparts on PokerStars NJ will be playing for $3 million guaranteed through their 126-event series, which culminates with a $300 Main Event across two days (April 2 and 3) featuring $300,000 guaranteed.

Meanwhile, PokerStars PA's segregated series will have $2 million guaranteed, and the two-day $300 Main Event will have $200,000 guaranteed.

“We’re thrilled to announce our largest series guarantee ever to players in the US,” said PokerStars US Managing Director Séverin Rasset. “We’ve made a concerted effort to ensure that this series is accessible to all players by curating an inclusive schedule with a wide range of buy-ins. Our aim is to provide everyone with the opportunity to compete for a coveted SCOOP trophy.”

The buy-in for High-level events begins at $10, but entry to the High Roller Main Event on April 2 will cost $2,500.

According to PokerStars, there will be three Main Events across the two series on April 3:

Hundreds of Satellite Events Planned

PokerStars said it plans to run hundreds of satellite events — in Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania — with an entry fee of just $1. The operator said it would run a Depositor’s Freeroll satellite on April 2.

Both USA SCOOP series will feature Spin & Go games with a $3 buy-in and events where the top prize will be an entry into the $300 Main Event. PokerStars also said it plans to hand out more than 250 trophies during SCOOP.

The operator also plans to run Casino Races in both SCOOP series, with 90 trophies available across all three buy-in ranges.
