BetRivers Poker has introduced Mystery Bounty tournaments in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Delaware and West Virginia, expanding its tournament schedule with a format that conceals the value of knockout prizes until an opponent is eliminated.
The games became available Tuesday, Oct. 27, across every buy-in level. In the format, the bounty stage starts after a tournament reaches the money; each subsequent elimination gives the winning player a random prize drawn from the remaining bounty pool, with its value revealed at the table.
About half of each entry fee goes to the regular prize pool and about half to bounties. That structure means a player can draw a substantial bounty without making a particularly deep run in the tournament.
BetRivers has added table features intended to make the format easier to follow, including animations, sound effects and visual prompts. A target marker identifies an all-in opponent covered by a player, while a live bounty pay table shows which prizes remain available.
The new tournaments sit alongside BetRivers’ existing Progressive Knockout games. Pokerfuse said the rollout makes BetRivers the third regulated US online poker operator to offer Mystery Bounties, after WSOP Online and PokerStars on FanDuel, and brings regulated Mystery Bounty poker to Delaware and West Virginia for the first time.
BetRivers is the sole online poker operator serving Delaware and West Virginia, Pokerfuse said. The launch coincided with the operator’s second-anniversary campaign.
As we reported Oct. 23, BetRivers’ Anniversary Week promotion package runs through Nov. 1. The week includes more than $4,000 in added seats and prize money, with no opt-in required for the promotions.
