Oddin.gg has won a temporary supplier licence in Kansas and an Online Sports Wagering Vendor Permit in Wyoming, widening its North American licensing footprint to 10 jurisdictions.
The approvals allow the esports betting supplier to offer its products to licensed operators in both states. Oddin.gg’s end-to-end ecosystem includes odds feeds, risk management, trading services and engagement products.
Kansas has offered regulated sports wagering since September 2022. The Kansas Register’s economic-impact summary says seven platforms have already entered agreements with the Kansas Lottery under temporary regulations, while the rules require accounting controls, risk management, recordkeeping and audit-related safeguards.
The Department of Budget-approved estimate put the cost of those regulations at $1,485,000 over the first five years for lottery gaming facilities and sports wagering platforms. It projected no cost for local governments or individual Kansas residents.
Wyoming’s market was built under House Enrolled Act 50, passed in the 2021 legislative session, which authorised online sports wagering and directed the Wyoming Gaming Commission to write standards and procedures. The commission examined other states’ frameworks and proposed a similar model to maximise state revenue.
Wyoming runs one of the few fully online sports betting markets in the US. Since launch in September 2021, the state has required no retail presence, which leaves operators to compete entirely on the strength of their digital product.
Martin Lycka, Oddin.gg’s vice-president of institutional affairs, said state regulators had built supplier frameworks that hold every sportsbook product to the same standard and that esports belongs “inside that structure, not adjacent to it”. Marek Suchar, the company’s co-founder, said licensing turns esports “from an idea operators like into a product they can launch with confidence”.
AGBrief said Oddin.gg’s North American footprint now includes New Jersey, Colorado, West Virginia, Ohio, Arizona and Maryland in the US, plus Ontario and Alberta in Canada. The company said it continues to pursue licensure across regulated North American markets.
